Women are about 50% of the population. Worldwide. There doesn't seem to be very much anyone can do about that. Historically in patriarchal societies, which we are, women have not been able to achieve equality with men in many ways. A progressive government can address this inequity.
Certainly a guarantee/campaign promise/position/proposal of 50% appointment of women, at least in the top two tiers (Secretary, Deputy Secretary) of executive positions and the federal courts would be appropriate and feasible. On the executive ticket, the best that could be expected and reasonable would be one or the other (President, Vice-President) to be a woman. This is the reason for my seeking a woman for the vp position on the ticket.
